Muay Thai for Life to introduce official rankings!

Big steps continue to be taken for Muay Thai for Life as official promotional rankings will now be introduced for select divisions!

Last month MTFL launched a historic broadcast deal with United Fight Alliance which would see the airing of MTFL 8.0 across millions of American homes throughout the coarse of several weeks.

In keeping with the ongoing trends of building up, legitimatizing and cementing the MTFL brand there will now be added suspense and incentives in upcoming bouts.

Official rankings will be instituted in conjunction with MTFL 10 – which is slated for the first half of December 2024. There will be a top five for selected divisions with those outside of the top five listed as contenders to the top echelon.

There are points of criteria that must be fullfilled in order to land in the divisional rankings.

1: The rankings will be applied for pro, not A class amateur divisions
2: Fighters must have competed a minimum of two times in MTFL to be considered in the rankings (at least one of those bouts must have been in a pro bout)
3: The fighter must have competed in MTFL within two years to not be excluded for inactivity

It is, however, enough to have had one pro fight in MTFL to be considered a contender to the top rankings.

It is imperative to note that the rankings are first and formost for bulding structure and narrative in MTFL as a fun aspect to add extra stakes to the match making and fight card building. A MTFL ranking, or lack thereof, will not affect negotiations, opportunities, match ups or the like.

The MTFL team will be working to compile and release the rankings and feedback from fans and fighters themselves are, as always, welcome.
