Since its conception in 2021 Muay Thai for Life (MTFL) has grown exponentially throughout Northern Europe, now firmly established as the number one Muay Thai promotion in the region. As MTFL gears up for its tenth show, a huge deal has been reached with United Fight Alliance (UFA), as MTFL 8.0 will be broadcast on major networks in the USA throughout the months of September and October.
Split among regional NBC networks as well as Bally Sports and several other networks, the replay of MTFL 8.0 will be divided up into three one hour slots and broadcast in California, Chicago, Philadelphia Florida and Boston – just to name a few regions and cities. MTFL 8.0 will be broadcasted 168 times across an assortment of different TV channels and thereby be available for easy viewing by millions of people across North America – a feat no other Nordic combat sports promotion can claim.
“We are incredibly pleased to partner with UFA as they help us reach out to new markets and we look forward to gaining a slew of new fans and viewers in North America,” MTFL promotor Patrick Thomsen said in a statement. “This is just the beginning, we have big plans for MTFL and this is a testament to the success of the hard work we’ve put into our promotion.”
Starting September 21st part one of MTFL 8.0 will be available with the following parts being broadcast a week apart following the first.
No other striking promotion from the region has achieved the same level of international outreach and broadcast opportunities as MTFL – a clear sign of the quality the promotion begins with every show. As MTFL has grown throughout Northern Europe an increasing amount of fans and fighters have wanted to take part in the show and this new broadcast deal will strengthen the reach
This means that MTFL will reach a record number of viewers and households, further establishing the MTFL brand as top combat sports entertainment. While it certainly means a strong end to the year it also sets the stage for an even greater 2025.
While it is the first, this probably wont be the last time that MTFL is broadcast on network television in the USA.
